Creation, and it was Good
Genesis 1:1-9 TNIV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning– the first day. And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning– the second day. And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
Last week, I traveled from the middle of the state, to the east coast to visit my co-author. We had a fun filled 2 days planned (you’ll read more about that later in the week), but one of the best parts of the trip was that we went to see the sunrise together. It was so exciting that when the sun just started to peek the water Hannah said “We are so blessed that God created all of this for us!”. She is so right! Non believers will argue that “God” didn’t create this, science did.”, well God created science. God created every bit of science for us to discover! God created our bodies to do wonders, like pregnancy, running marathons, and climbing rocks. Our bodies are equipped to flow through dance, stretch and pose through yoga, and build strong and lean muscles. God gave us our bodies to honor, take care of and respect. I desire to live a FIT and FAITHFUL lifestyle because God has created me to do that. The life we live is good, and blessed, even when we cannot clearly see it. Take care of yourself, and take care of others by making healthy and spiritual choices.
